Now that you have an understanding of the six simple machines that are available to you in the Smoky Mountain wilderness, you have a new task. However, first you need to understand a new concept. A compund machine is two or more simple machines combined. The task for today is for you and your partner to create a compound machine that will help you in your survival in the wilderness. The more original your compound machine, the more points you will receive. In other words, try to come up with a new invention - something you are pretty sure doesn't already exist! In deciding on your invention, remember that the only materials available to you are your six simple machines and the wilderness! After coming up with your invention, you will need to create a poster to show off your work and a great name/title for your invention!
